When I first came to this country I discovered that I can fight my homesickness through reading romance novels. I read a lot of mysteries and occasionally classic literature too. If it comes to depression, a good bodice ripper beats Prosac anytime, not to mention that the side effects are quite the opposite (if you catch my drift). My dream is to translate one of those to Hungarian. Though certain situations would take researching. Meanwhile, I enjoy the personal side of our work like translating legal documents for trials, interpreting in courts or in Hospitals where I help Hungarian speaking patients. I like to take my time deciphering old family letters which open a window to the past of the Hungarian immigrants. I also work in the Hungarian heritage museum here in Cleveland. There I can dig into the history of the Hungarian population of the area and share some of my knowledge of the culture. Just recently I taught a very nice couple to play with Hungarian cards.

The longest word in Hungarian goes like this: "megkáposztásítottalanítottátok." This has to do with "having something depickled" which doesn' make much sense and so reflects the original Hungarian word well. The longest word in Hungarian is "megszentségteleníthetetlenségeskedéseinkért". I can't find an English equivalent. If these two terms are not in your text you can trust me to translate anything else. Due to my engineering and science background, technical translations are my specialty. In addition I enjoy financial, business and marketing related translations as they relate to my recently completed MBA studies. German-English and German-Hungarian translations are also available.
Laszlo L. Lieszkovszky I am the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lieszkovszky. I am also fluent in both English and Hungarian and am currently learning French. I am studying Computer Engineering and so I am the IT officer. I wrote the code for most of our web pages, installed the office LAN network and DSL high speed connection. I help out where I can with the translations especially software localization.
