Behind the Scenes of Willow!
This page is dedicated to your input.
I update it...every once in a while. If you have any facts, comments, or trivia e-mail
me and I will post it here.
from Sara: Warkwick Davis, Willow, played Wicket, the Ewok, in Star Wars-Return of the Jedi . . . plays Professor Flitwick Harry Potter movies, played the Leprachaun in the Leprachaun movies . . .
Sara
Thanks for hosting that site!
from Daniel Williamson: Kate and Ruth Greenfield who play Elora Dannon, the baby girl destined to become a future queen couldn't grow hair at that their young age, and had to wear wigs
which were applied to their heads with syrup, because the wigs would be too harsh for their heads.
from Lindsey Rowland: did you know that the sceen where Fin
Raziel is returned to her natural form by Willow was the very first attempt
at "Morphing", and cost millions to do (and well worth it I think!)
Kindest Regards
from Brian Metzger: Througout the entire movie, Madmartigan
has two ties in the hair hanging down from the sides of his head.
One is colored blue and the other one is colored red. When facing
him for most of the movie, the blue tie is on the right side of his body
and the red is on the left. But, I noticed that in the scene just
after they arrive at Nockmaar castle (where Madmartigan and friends are
changing into pigs) that the ties are on the opposite sides. When
he first falls on all fours and begins to change in front of Sorsha and
Airk the ties are on the correct side, but the second time you see his
face during the transformation (when his nose is stuck up like a snout)the
braids are on the wrong sides. I noticed that not only his braids
are backwards, but the sword he keeps behind his back is also on the wrong
side. This can be noticed also in next scene (when he has a fully
developed snout and squeels Sorsha's name). I wonder if they used
a mirror for this scene. I hope you can include my observation somewhere
in your Web site. Please view Willow and tell me if you see what
I see.
response from Laszlo Lieszkovszky (myself): Brian I checked and saw what you say. You're right they probably
used a mirror for special effects purposes. An interesting observation,
thanks!
from Chad Kehoe: I noticed another mistake in the movie... This glitch takes place when
General Kael steals the baby from Willow and rides out of the castle. As he
is riding he sees the troops of Galadoorn and yells out to him army. At
first the sword is in his left hand and the baby is in his right. Then they
fight through the horses and the baby is in his left and the sword is in his
right hand. Then when he breaks through the men the baby and sword are back
where they started..
