Tops here. Well Laszlo, I'm glad to see that someone's out there protecting Willow. Actually it seems to me that now (years after Willow's release) people realize what a good movie Willow is. I maintain a reputation of being the biggest Star Wars
fan of all time, and I know that George Lucas is the most creative person of our time. Long live George that he may have the time necessary to materialize many of the fantastic worlds that live within his mind. The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite movie
of all time, but I've always said that A New Hope and Willow tie at second. Let's hope that someday George takes the Shadow War to the big screen. Well take care, write to my e-mail adress, and remember- I serve the nelwyn.

I really like your page and I think that you should continue to develop it.
I don't really have any material on Willow, but I noticed something interesting
the last time I viewed it. Througout the entire movie, Madmartigan has two ties
in the hair hanging down from the sides of his head. One is colored blue and the
other one is colored red. When facing him for most of the movie, the blue tie is
on the right side of his body and the red is on the left. But, I noticed that in
the scene just after they arrive at Nockmaar castle (where Madmartigan and friends
are changing into pigs) that the ties are on the opposite sides. When he first
falls on all fours and begins to change in front of Sorsha and Airk the ties
are on the correct side, but the second time you see his face during the transformation
(when his nose is stuck up like a snout)the braids are on the wrong sides. I noticed
that not only his braids are backwards, but the sword he keeps behind his back is also
on the wrong side. This can be noticed also in next scene (when he has a fully developed
snout and squeels Sorsha's name). I wonder if they used a mirror for this scene. I
hope you can include my observation somewhere in your Web site. Please view Willow and
tell me if you see what I see. Thanks for your time and keep up the great site!!!

**** I am planning to add a new page titled "behind the scenes" or something. Please help out!
- Laszlo,
I just dropped by your site to see how it's doin'. Not too shabby,
I must say. I did notice a few discrepencies, though, if you're
interested:
1) Ron Howard did not work with George Lucas on Cocoon or Splash, only
American Graffiti.
2) On the multimedia page, your story about "Hulk": his name is really
Llug.
3) "Out of the way, peck" was not said by Airk but by some other soldier
of Galladoorn.
4) On the links page, Joanne Whalley is no longer married to Val
Kilmer. They broke up about a year ago.

material on Willow either, but if I get a hold of anything

Some small things on your pages; this is in no way ment as critisism,
but merely as supportive comment. (I know I like to have feedback on
small mishaps on my pages, so I figured you might do the same.)
-on the size of yours pages, you might want to decrease the broad of
them a bit. One can hardly view them without scrolling. Only when I
view them fullscreen can I read them, which I call hardly handy.
(Ok, just personal, so don't alter it when you don't want to. But I try to
make reading my pages possible with smaller viewers.)
-What do all the squares do on your pages? You might mean something
with them, but I can't see...
-Please call the Nelwyn kids by there names: Ranon & Mims.
-Isn't it the High Aldwyn instead of High Aldwin? And General Kael instead

Ok. Quite a list, but please take into account that I'm just trying to help. As
I said before, I like yours second best!

I thought you gave a pretty insight into the movie
"Willow." It seems that you really get into the
fantastical world "Willow" presents. I however hate
movie reviews because they always knock the fantasy
movies and praise the long drawn out dramas. Also, I
think that critics are people from the damn peanut
gallery. They didn't make this movie, so why should
they criticize a movie that is to the most of us a damn
great movie?! They probably, actually, absolutely
don't know the first thing about directing a fine
motion picture as "Willow." So, essentially what I'm
saying is lose the critics section of this web-site.
But the rest of it was great. You did a damn fine job
and keep up the good work!

Oh, I am so in love with the whole movie! I mean sure
it came out when I was like, what, seven or eight
(that's right, do the math, I'm 15), but so what? I
really fell it is a complete story. The characters
are well developed, the setting was wonderful, like
every fantasy/adventure book I've ever read, and
belive me, I've read many!
I am currently on the lookout for a copy of the
soundtrack, yes I know, it's discontinued and it's
hard to find, but it's out there somewhere! I also need
to find the movie itself, but I know where to get that
. I have been watching a rented copy of Willow over
and over again for the last two days, and I noticed a
few things that they cut out from earlier version,
namley when Willow battles a sea creature while trying to get to
Fin Razel's isle. I'm not gonna lie to you,it wierded
me out, because I can remember it so clearly, but then
it's not there, am I mad?
But yet I digress, listen up you Willowites,
Daikini and Nelwyn alike. I have seen the X-phile sites, and I'm
sure you realize by now they have fanfic. Have you ever
wondred what happend after the movie ended? And don't
tell me about Shadow-Moons and Shadow Dawn, I'm
perfectly aware of them. I mean what _you_ think
happend, I mean Willow Fanfic! Does antone else think
this is a good idea? Laszlo honey I'm talkin to you
especially! Maybe we should all try our hand at writing
and see what turns up! There is very little about this
fabulos tale on the internet, Willow fans should try to
expand what we've got by usinbg our imaginations!
OOOOh I hope I havent sceared anyone, and don't get on
my case about not having my address out. I just wanted
to get my ideas out in the open. if anyone reads this
and thinks perhaps there should be WFF, than give a
shout out here and maybe this fantabulos site can gain
some 'puter head input!

The page is wonderful! About the Ebert review, he didn't even get the storyline correct! Please re-read the reveiw. He says that the mother of Elora sends her down the river. She doesn't. He also mentions the wrong castle. There are a few other problems I can't remember, but if perhaps he watched the movie closer, he might enjoy the story more.
In my opinion, Willow is a wonderful movie about hope. It proves that anything can happen, if you believe in yourself.

I've always heard something about Willow ever since the movie came out in 1988. But until a few days ago, I never thought much of it. Then last week, I was at my local video store. Saw Willow on the shelf and thought "Why not?" I watched it, watched it again and I was hooked! I couldn't believe I missed out on something like this for so long! Anyway I guess I'm only a new fan, but I've done some websurfing lately for Willow sites and I plan on reading Shadow Moon and Shadow Dawn. I have a few questions for you though. What is the typical age of Willow fans? To a lot of people the movie was geared towards a younger audience. Also I wonder what some of other people's initial reaction to the movie was. Did they like it as much as I did? I mean I just couldn't put into words how much I loved it! In the past few days I've been in another dimension. That movie sure has had a profound impact on my life.
By the way I am glad that you keep this web page. Willow should never die, even though the movie was ten years old, the latest tales in the saga are fairly new.
Your review of Ebert for his review of Willow was great! I couldn't believe anyone could say those things about such a great movie. I guess he was drunk or something.
Hope to hear from you!

I'd have to agree most ardently with you on this show. It certainly
deserves a webpage of it's own.
I must commend you on the way you have structured this webpage. Initially
I thought it would be one of the usual pages with only a poor collection of
photoshots from the film and perhaps some good one liners, but it is quite
comprehensive, with reviews and rebukes all put into it.
I also have to agree with you on how it is so disgustingly reviewed. To
me it is one of the best movies that I've EVER seen, even with the latest
new films with hotshot computer graphics like "Jurasic Park" or even
"Spawn" coming out. The movie has action, adventure is more memorable,
has a classic plot that you wouldn't WANT to change AND excellent casting
with one of the best sound tracks. What else can I say?!!??!
I was very impressed with your website and can safely say that you are
doing a pretty good job on it.
However, I might point out to you that you have a few spelling errors
(unintentional or intentional) in your blow-by-blow account of the film.
It does not really have the effect that the film has either, but I suppose,
to really appreciate such a movie, you HAVE to see it. :)
Keep up the good work, though.

(comments) Willow is such an amazing movie on so many levels. It evoked
responses from me that have impacted my real life, not just entertained me.
I'm glad to see another page devoted to it, keeping interest in the movie
alive. Labyrinth has pages and pages and fiction rings etc. It would be
great to see such creativity from Willow fans as well. I must say, I love
Shadow Moom and Shadow Dawn and am awaiting any sequel that Chris Claremont
may write. Footlight Records has the soundtrack. Maybe now that Horner has
written the music for Titanic the Willow soundtrack will be printed in the
US again. Used book sellers via Bibliofind have the books. Thanks for a
very nice site, and keep adding to !

Hey, this is the second time I'm leaving a comment here but my reason is that I noticed when I was looking through the comments of other people that one person was looking for the soundtrack--well I used to think it was impossible to get too, but I found an internet-only
cd club called cdnow that still has some copies! Just go to www.cdnow.com and search for Willow(do an artist search and enter Willow as the artist). I was so happy to find this out because James Horner is my second favorite composer and Willow is one of my favorites that he's done. I finally own the soundtrack on CD manufactured in Holland! I would also like to comment on the notion that you should get rid of the Ebert section of your page DON'T! I found that part to be one of the most enjoyable I think you did a pretty good job showing the problems with the review, and I also think this is necessary because a lot of the time a review written by a professional critic can be very convincing when it is not contrasted with an opposing viewpoint(as the money Willow made at the box-office partly shows!). So for that reason as well the contrast is valuable. Keep up the good work on this page!

Willow has been my favorite movie ever since I saw it five times in the theater (a lot for me) when it first came out. I don't love it because its a well-made movie, even though it is. I like it mostly because it is of the fantasy genre, a genre we are lacking in when it comes to movies these days. I think Willow came out in the wrong time period, when audiences really didn't respond to fantasy type movies. Unfortunately fantasy is still not a very respected or popular genre but it's getting there.
In general, I loved Willow and still do and can recite it from memory from beginning to end (that looks so pathetic in writing). I loved the actors and acting as well as the special effects and the music. What an awesome soundtrack! But I like the story best of all with its unlikely hero. How do you get them to make a sequel?
Anyway, I'm glad someone else feels the same way about this movie. Thanks.

reading the Laserdisc jacket notes from the Big Big Willow/Shadow Moon

nominations, one for Best Sound Editing and Best Visual Effects; and it
grossed $110 million worldwide. THAT is hardly a flop. The only thing I
